One week ago my colleagues Kirstie Post, Danielle Turmel and I attended the annual Mobile World Congress 2024 🌍, as part of the Dutch delegation 🇳🇱🦁. It also marked the start of the first ever #sustainabilitytour which took us on a #journey past multiple vendors who shared their vision and insights on this topic. Whether it involved first steps, maximizing future possibilities, innovations, green by #IT and through IT, smart #AI solutions or showing #sustainability #leadership 🌎. Next to this I had the privilege to meet so many inspiring people with different backgrounds, which gave me many new ideas and insights for innovation and how to take the #nextsteps!💡 In general there is still a lot to be done. Together on a national and international level, we need to go beyond #energyefficiency and focusing on strategies and policies based on refuse, reduce and rethink to create new #sustainable and #innovative business models, value for society and #shareholders value. Keep in mind that #sustainabiluty equals #efficiency and has next to #environmental and #social impact, the potential to create strong #economic benefits. 🚗 Catalonia Trade & Investment, through Òptima, has organized about 180 business meetings during this week's FISITA World Congress in Barcelona. This congress has been running since 1950, and it's one of the most important events for companies and engineers in the automotive, transport, and mobility sectors, with participants coming from over 35 countries. Specifically, Catalonia Trade &Investment, as the node in Catalonia of the Enterprise Europe Network SPAIN of the European Commission, has organized a brokerage event consisting of pre-scheduled meetings between about 90 companies, engineers, and technology centers from a dozen countries such as #France, the #UnitedKingdom, #Germany, #Sweden or #China. 🗨 According to Chris Mason FIMI, FISITA's Chief Executive Officer: "We really like the location of Barcelona and its key automotive strengths, its engineering community, and its ability to welcome our international community whether they'll be from Asia, from the Americas or from here in Europe".
