To keep a market presence (physical or virtual) and intercept renewed customer needs,\u00a0<strong>automakers will have to change the structure of their networks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, beyond the long-term projections, a deeper analysis shows that\u00a0<strong>there is room for complementary distribution models<\/strong>, aimed at the portion of the population living outside the large urban contexts and that uses the car proportionally more and with higher frequency.<\/p>\n<p>The lack of infrastructure (public transport, \u201csmart\u201d mobility \u2026) and the conformation of extra-urban areas, where services are distributed over a large territory, cause a more intense use of private vehicles, as illustrated in the following graphic:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-473 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jet-consultants.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flessibilita-e-post-vendita-automotive2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jet-consultants.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flessibilita-e-post-vendita-automotive2.png 700w, https:\/\/www.jet-consultants.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flessibilita-e-post-vendita-automotive2-600x323.png 600w, https:\/\/www.jet-consultants.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flessibilita-e-post-vendita-automotive2-300x162.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the near future,\u00a0<strong>the evolution in the sales area<\/strong>\u00a0will allow the purchase phases to be managed effectively, the tools provided by technology make physical commercial structures less necessary than in the past. In Europe, for example, online car sales could reach 8% in 2025 and up to 40% in 2035 (Projected Growth in Online Sales of New Cars Around the World \u2013 BCG 2020).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the service<\/strong>, the theme has other nuances, since physical presence continues to be, and will be, an essential requirement. In addition to considerations about the use of vehicles, in rural areas there is a longer age of the car park \u2013 also linked to softer environmental regulations for driving outside the metropolis \u2013 which implies a higher need for assistance.<\/p>\n<p>There is room for growth for a business that, although in an evolved key, sees the physical workshop as a determining factor for\u00a0<strong>loyalty<\/strong>\u00a0and the completion of the\u00a0<strong>customer experience<\/strong>. Organizations able to combine technology, breadth of services \u2013 \u201cone-stop shop\u201d, including\u00a0<strong>alternative mobility<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 and proximity to the client, will find a considerable margin of growth and will benefit from a smoother transition towards new technological paradigms.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3><em>Therefore, for the automotive actors there is the need to adopt flexible strategies and processes, in which the standards are set by the customer, whose decision-making power exceeds the methods that have characterized the industry for decades.<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In particular, truly collaborative development models that reinforce the manufacturer-dealer partnership will succeed in providing adequate responses to a variety of demands and\u00a0<strong>ensuring continuity over time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Among the\u00a0macrotrends\u00a0that guide the\u00a0automotive industry\u00a0on the path of change,\u00a0urbanization\u00a0is one of the factors driving the adoption of advanced mobility models.
